How to Make Your Bed Look Cozy

1 – Upgrade your Mattress

Having a good mattress will help to ensure that you have a good night’s sleep and wake up feeling refreshed every morning. Ensuring that the mattress offers both maximum comfort as well as sufficient support should always be a priority.

You want to select a mattress that matches your body’s needs and preferences, as well as one that fits in with the size of your bedroom. It should also be supportive enough to help keep your body in proper alignment while you sleep.

If a new mattress is not within budget, consider a mattress topper. A mattress topper will provide an extra layer of padding and cushioning for a comfy bed. Adding mattress toppers can also increase the comfort, support, and longevity of the bed.

2 – Invest in Quality Sheets

You must start by creating a base of comfort for your bedding with a new sheet set. New bed sheets can impact how your experience your bed and the overall bed’s comfort.

Invest in the best bed sheets that are made with good materials and have a decent thread count that’s perfect for relaxation. Choose materials like cotton or silk to add an extra touch of style and luxury to the bedroom while ensuring maximum warmth and comfort.

3 – Add an Extra Layer of Comfort with a Duvet and Cover

To take your bedding experience to the next level, try adding a quality duvet. A duvet will give your bed a warm, fluffy, cloudlike look. It will give your bed an added layer of softness and warmth that’s perfect for those chilly winter nights.

Couple the duvet with a duvet cover to help extend the duvet insert’s life. You can opt for a bright, bold color or a color that’s more calm and subtle, like white, beige, or grey, to create an inviting atmosphere. Lighter colors like classic white present a much cleaner and presentable look.

Duvets are available in abundance. Here’s a favorite to consider – duvet insert and duvet cover.

4 – Pillow on Top of Pillows

Pillows are an essential part of creating a stylish look for your bed. A pillow can add color, comfort, and dimension to your bed. While there’s no magic number of pillows in a bed, you will want to make sure that you have at least a pillow that provides support (for propping yourself up in bed), a pillow to comfortably lay your head to sleep, followed by decorative accent pillows.

I like to use two pillows on the bottom and two shams on top to coordinate with the bedding look. These combinations will help to add depth, comfort, and style to any bed.

5 – Incorporate a Throw Blanket or Quilt

To really transform a bed from ordinary to extraordinary, consider adding a throw blanket or quilt to the bed. Throw blankets come in a variety of textures and sizes, making it easy to find the perfect one for your needs.

Place the throw blanket or quilt near the foot of the bed. You can pick a color that matches your throw pillows or introduce a unique pop of color. The throw blanket will add texture and layer to round out your bed.
