How to Reseal Granite Countertops

Granite makes a wonderful addition to any home.  While granite can practically last forever, sealing  granite countertops is necessary for its upkeep, longevity and shine. 

What you'll Need for Cleaning

– Granite Gold Daily Cleaner – Cloth & Sponge

Step 1 - Clean the granite surface. Remove all items from the countertop and Clean the surface with a damp cloth and dish soap to wipe away any dirt, grease, and food residue on the countertop.

Give the surface some time to dry before moving to the next step.

Step 2 – Apply the sealant to the countertop. 

Step 3 – Use an XL grouting sponge to apply it liberally and generously to the granite, letting it penetrate and absorb onto the surface. Make sure the sealer is evenly distributed, covering the entire granite surface.

Step 4- Allow 30 minutes of drying time before applying a second coat 

Step 5 –  Once the Second coat is applied, give it 2 hours of dry time then test the Surface. Pour water droplets on the surface to check if it is sealed. If the water gets absorbed, then you should apply another coat.
