Instructions

  • Trace and cut out the petals according to the template. To form the flower, you can use as many layers as you like. The more layers you use, the more challenging the craft becomes, but your flower will also look fuller.
I used 5 layers, which required cutting out 6 large petals and 6 medium ones. As you get closer to the center, you’ll need fewer petals. I then cut out 5 petals for the next two layers and only 3 for the innermost, smallest layer. Also, cut out a base for the flower with a diameter of 5 cm.
  • Once all the petals are cut out, make a small slit right in the center of each one.
  • Use glue to overlap the two halves of each petal slightly, creating volume for the flower.
  • Once all the petals are shaped, start gluing them onto the base, working from the outside in. This means starting with the largest petals and gradually moving inward, using the smaller petals as you approach the center.
  • Complete the flower layer by layering until you reach the smallest layer.
  • To finish, you can cut out a 1 cm diameter circle and place it in the center for a neater look. That should finalize the look.
