Here are the 10 states where homeowners are most likely to face pest problems.
1. Hawaii
Hawaii tops the ranking thanks to its warm, humid climate, which allows pests to remain active year-round. Combined with one of the nation’s highest termite risks, homeowners often face ongoing pest prevention rather than just seasonal treatments.
2. Florida
Florida’s tropical weather, frequent rainfall, and long growing season create ideal conditions for everything from termites and mosquitoes to ants and cockroaches. Because pests rarely experience a dormant season, infestations can quickly become year-round issues.
3. Louisiana
High humidity and warm temperatures make Louisiana especially attractive to termites, mosquitoes, and other moisture-loving pests. Heavy rainfall and flooding can also drive rodents and insects indoors in search of shelter.
4. Texas
Everything may be bigger in Texas, including the variety of household pests homeowners encounter. The state’s combination of hot weather, expanding suburban development, and significant termite activity contributes to its high ranking.
5. Georgia
