Instructions

Step 1: Begin by creating two diagonal valley folds. I cut out squares measuring 5×5 inches.

Step 2: Next, fold the square in half twice, once along each axis. Ensure the creases are sharp so they can easily collapse into this shape.

Step 3: Fold the right and left edges inward to align with the center crease.

Step 4: Fold the triangular tip downwards, creating a sharp crease.

Step 5: Unfold the creases you just made. Flip the paper over and repeat the process on this side.

Step 6: Unfold these creases as well. Now, lift the bottom tip of the rhombus and collapse the four edges along the diagonal that is starting to form.

Step 7: Do the same on the opposite side.

Step 8: Rotate the right flap to the left, as illustrated in the picture.

Step 9: Lift the bottom half and fold it over to meet the top edge.

Step 10: Flip the entire paper over.

Step 11: Fold the right flap down to the left side.

Step 12: Follow the instructions to fold the eastern crease down to the southern crease, forming a diagonal crease.

Step 13: Flatten it down as shown in the picture.

Step 14: Turn the paper 90 degrees clockwise and repeat these steps on the remaining sides.

Step 15: Flip the paper over and fold the tips of the star inward to meet the center.

Step 16: Give your creation a gentle twist from the center, and you’ll see a rose begin to form.

We recommend using all sorts of colored craft paper. In our case, we used four different colors. That way, you have a more colorful curtain (though you can use one color if that is your preference).

Once you create the roses, attach them to your twine at an equal distance, and that should complete your decor.

Isn’t it pretty? Sure, it’s a bit intricate, but that’s part of the fun! There’s something so satisfying about watching simple folds turn into delicate flowers.
