Fortunately, there’s a better way to tackle this chore without resorting to harsh and toxic chemicals. Here’s an easy homemade oven cleaner recipe that you can make right at home. This alternative offers a non-toxic solution to keep your oven spotless and fresh, allowing you to clean your appliance without the harsh side effects of conventional cleaners.
Supplies:
- Glass spray bottle
- Distilled Vinegar
- Lemon Juice
- Dawn Dish Soap
- Measuring Cup
- Funnel (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1
Pour 2 ounces (or ¼ cup) of lemon juice into a measuring cup. Using a funnel, add the lemon juice to the spray bottle.
Step 2
Add 4 ounces (or ½ cup) of distilled vinegar to the spray bottle.
Step 2
Add 2 ounces (or ¼ cup) of Dawn dish soap (blue works best) to the spray bottle.
Step 3
Fill the remainder of the spray bottle with water.
Step 4
Place the cap back on the spray bottle and shake well to mix all the ingredients.
How to Use This Homemade Oven Cleaner
The best way to use this oven cleaner is to spray the solution on the surface you want to clean. Let it sit overnight, then wipe clean.
For best results, Do NOT use heat when cleaning. Spray the solution, let it sit, and wipe it clean.
